QUESTION:
When attempting
to establish a Chat Room connection I get the following error:
The connection
cannot be established. Check the following:
- server is not
up (try again later, ot
- server cannot
be accessed due to some firewall restrictions.
Why?
ANSWER:
Our servers have
an up time exceeding 99.9%, so the probability that the problem lies on the
server not being available is small. The most likely reason is that a
firewall or other program is interfering at your end. For example, you
will get this error if you are running Windows XP with McAfee Antivirus 8.0.
A good thing to try is to disable your antivirus program first. If
that does not solve your problem, look at any software firewall that may be
blocking the connection.
