This is the first time I'm working with photographs of people, and I have a few basic questions
I'm trying to segment features on a person's body out of the photograph. My subject (a part of body) takes up most of the image.
I'm having a hard time starting because the images suffer from relatively poor contrast, flash reflection (or uneven lighting), and background (which i can control).
Any ideas on where to start in terms of preparing the image? Any advice is appreciated.
I'm used to working with images that had much more background than subject, and it was relatively easy to remove it, then threshold to binary and then identify the features. It's a lot harder in this case.
Thanks,

if you stated your actual project it will be helpful
like do you have sequence of images of your subject or a single image
static background or dynamic
you can use image enhancement techniques like clahe |
